What does the Sapphire cheat code for Pokemon Xd Gale of Darkness actually do?

I found some randoms codes on a list somewhere for this game but thier named just Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, Leafgreen and Fire Red. I know thier the game titles for Gen 3 three but I have no idea what these even do in Gale of Darkness and I'm very curious as to what thier purpose is on the list. Can anyone help me out?

I assume they are cheats to let shadow Lugia be transfered to said game? Donno tho.
