Use it in battle or give it some scents until the Shadow Guage is all the way down. Then take it too the shriney place in Agate Village to open it's heart.
i battle with mine on mt.battle then take them to agate village when their shadow bar is down all the way but you can find "time flutes" in various locations to purify them.
You have to battle. in revese mode call it back. and when the gauge(purple line) goes to zero go to agate village and in the forest. or use a time flute.
