It doesn't matter if you know the guy's name, you don't have the missing letter in your keyboard (I think it was a lowercase p) for his name, which is Doopliss. You can't spell the name correctly because you can only get uppercase P, so the name will look like DooPliss (?!?!).

I take it your talking about the guy wearing the bedsheet, his name is Dooplis.

His name is Doopliss but the letter p isnt there so you have to go to the castle and go in the well and keep going finaly youll see a parrot and the letter p in a box the parrot if yu use vivians move to hide in a shadow he will say dooplisses name

Yup, his name is 'Doopliss' you visit his parrot in the well, and listen to him talk with Vivian. (Note, when the little bubble with the '...' appears, that is when you're supposed to hide) Then you're supposed to get the letter 'p' which he's hidden in one of the two chests near the parrot.
Also, you can use this same move to listen to the crows talk in Twilight Town, it's really cool.

The name is doopliss, but you need the letter P that is missing you need vivian the shadow siren
