Question for Paper Mario 2

I'm really stuck. What do you have to do to get Yoshi out of the egg? He keeps bouncing behind me and I don't know how to get him out!

After battle 11 0r 10 those spike dudes beat you bad and Yoshi is gone but acutally hatches and if you name the file a color that is his color

To release the yoshi you must fight in the glitz pit until you fight the armored harriers lose to them once thrn when you get back to the locker room, your yoshi will be born.
