I have a level2 house but it wont let me upgrade to lvl 3. Do I have to be a friend of woody to get it??

You need to get Woody, Joe, or Kurt to 1 heart. They like wood
What I did was that I had joe at one heart, then I befriend him then the next day (in the game) the level 3 house was unlocked!!!
