Question for Harvest Moon: A wonderful life

Has anyone gotten the painting from Cody?

If so, how long did it take and what did you give him to get it?

I have given him artifacts, bones, flowers, milk. I have been trying for two chapters and he hasn't given it to me yet.

Also, do you get the other fishing pole from Galen?

You can't get the art until Ch.4. You have to be good friends with Cody and go into his house when he's home(morning is best).
