I know ppl have said that you need to talk to the pots in the back of the sprites's house 100 times, but I LOOKED at them 100 times but nothing happened?? How do I TALK to it? I really want a daughter. It has worked for other ppl, why isnt it working for me? PLZ HELP! Thanks. What do I need to do EXACTLY? Is there a specific time?? Thanks again!

Sadly you cannot get a daughter Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. It's impossible. Sorry!
This is the wrong game, that's only in Harvest Moon: Special Editio (for PS2) sorry~

Ok if you are playing awl (A wonderful life)you can only have a boy nothing else but if your playing anwl (Another wonderful life) then talking to the pots will help put a better chance in getting a girl it isn't a 100% sure that you'll get a girl
I think it's completely unfair that you can't choose the gender of your child >_> I personally think it's another scheme to make you buy the one that you can (choose the gender) after you have already bought the damn one that you can't (choose) all I'm saying is accept the damn son in the game and be happy you got the option to even have a child in the game, end of story everyone asks the same damn question.

Or something like that,then once the pots say you...win talk to the little sprite in red I think his name is Nak and if you want a daughter say daughter or girl if you want a son say boy or son.
It has worked for other people cause it worked for me and my friend and I got a daughter my friend got a son just talk to the pots 'til they say you win then talk to nak and he says mr pots will grant you a wish and then ask for a boy or girl.

If you mean the version for gamecube (a wonderful life) then it's impossible, but if it's the ps2 version after talking to Mr.Potts 100 times talk to the sprite 'Nak' and he will give you the option. Not sure if the same thing works for Another wonderful life.
I have tried to get a daughter on "Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life" But it will not work because I don't have the special edition, everyone says you can use any edition but you CAN'T! You can only get a daughter on the special edition. Sorry, but I hoped that I helped!
You have to talk to nina and then she will tell you about her dream first, next talk to mr pots until he says "you win" then talk to the spirites and choose you want a daughter. It use!
Ok guys I don,t realy know if this matters anywhere but does the season matter cuzz I did it in day 2 of spring and I got a son at the end of the chapter when I clearly selected daughter
I know this is 11 years to late for you but you can only get a female child in the Special Edition of the game for the PS2. The gamecube game was much better tough as it is an awful port
