Question for Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life

Ummmm i'm in the second chapter in harvest moon and I can't figure out what the main goal is in this chapter and I can't seem to boost my son's interest.

There isnt really a "point" to this chapter....you just grow stuff and make money.....but you can get some pretty sweet stuff if you try hard enough for it....and to boosts you're son's interests go talk to ppl and become friends with them....ur friends and what curves you're son's interests

DONT LISTEN TO HOTSHOT!!! The 2nd chapter is extremely important for your kids growth. You won't see how his intrests grow until the next chapter but everything you do in chapter 2 will affect how he thinks in chapter 3. Taking him to places will do this and showing items to him will too. Chapter 2 is the only time you can pick him up and take him places

Places and items to show him
Gustafa's, Villa, Griffin; music sheet, drums, musical rare crops: *Musician*
Digsite, Daryl's house; Digsite items, lightbulb rare crops, toy car: *Science*
Vesta's; crops, seeds, tools: *Farming*
Rock, The Inn, Cody's; scratch pad: *Artist*
Your Farm ONLY; animals, milk, feed: *Rancher* (Animal Raiser not farmer)
Rock's, Hugh's; toy ball, gold medal (from Wally): *Athlete*

If he gets a farming or ranching career than he will inherit the farm. If not hhe moves away but becomes very successful.
