If you read my last guide you'll remember i didnt
go into much detail. Well this time i will, and add new stuff.
If you want any particular training tips for a certain type e-mail me [email protected]

Lets Get Started

1. Finding a Good Fire Pokemon

This Part will be easy. Below is a list of Fire pokemon and their locations.

Vulpix - Mount Pyre
Numel - Fire Path
Torkoal - Fire Path
Slugma - Fire Path
Torchic - Event

Now that you've chosen your own fire pokemon to train and
battle with, let's move on.

2.Moveset

A moveset is possibly the most important part of your pokemon. the moveset decides if the pokemon is strong or weak.

<A Bad Moveset>

Lets start with a bad fire pokemon's moveset.

Camerupt Lv 54

Overheat
Ember
Fire Blast
Flamethrower

You think that may be really good, but a level 32 Pelipper
that knows Surf could own your precious Camerupt
easily and quickly.

<A good moveset>

Here is Camerupt after i have modified him.

Camerupt Lv 54

Overheat
Flamethrower
Hyper Beam
Strength

Much better. He didnt need more than 2 fire moves
and now he's changed.

3. Befriending your pokemon

The easiest way by far to make your pokemon friendly is to give it pokeblocks.
Try entering it in contests, or teach it the move Return.

This section is short.

4. Hold items

Ahh, hold items. The thing that boosts attacks easily.
I'll give a great example.

My Blaziken has an effect called blaze. It ups fire attacks
easy. Then i gave him a Charcoal and it boosted his attack a lot more.
The hold items are better when they raise Attacks. Try finding some.

5.Evolution

dah duh duh da da duh da da duh! your Combusken has evolved into Blaziken!
It feels great when you've trained your pokemon so that
they evolved.

But whats this? You just checked what move your Blaziken will learn next, but it won't learn flamethrower
because it evolved!!

This is the downside of not knowing your pokemons level-up moveset!

Always check an online guide to find out when it will learn a move if ever.

6. Training spots

Fire types generally won't train well in water. Take them to a desert.
Cacneas and Baltoys will easily train a fire pokemon well.
Find places with Oddishes and Glooms. Find a great spot. My favorite thign to do is fish up Carvhana
and whoop them with my Blaziken.
