You had so many things to take care of everyday, animals, crops, getting a person to fall in love with you and marry you. It justsounded too much. One day, I was walking in a store and I saw this game and looked at it.At a glance, I thought that this was actually a pretty cool game. The graphics were pretty good on the GBA. So I bought and started to play. And you know what? I couldn't put it down! The game is really addicting. The music and graphics are cool and the gameplay is amazing! I have to say, Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, is one of the best games I've ever played! But enough of all this (you're probably bored out of your mind reading this aren't you?), so on with the guide! This is a Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town (GBA) 'Crop Earnings Chart' Guide. In this guide, I have listed all the available crops in the game and their cost, sell price etc. I have included a summary in section 3 for those who don't understand it. There is also a section for frequently asked questions. Some of your questions may have already been answered there, so please check the FAQ section to see if your question is answered before you email me. I will explain the chart in that section. If you feel that I have any missing/incorrect information or if you have any questions not answered in this guide, then email me andI will give you proper credit if applicable. I hope you find this guide helpful! =D ===== 2. CROP EARNINGS CHART SUMMARY ===== In this section, I will basically just explain what each section of the chart means. I have summarized each chart heading so you can all understancd it better. I will also include my opinions and any other notes about the chart will go in here as well. ===== 3.A. WHAT DOES THE CHART MEAN? ===== The chart above basically shows you what season the crop is grown in, the cost of the seeds, how much one can be sold when you ship it, the price that a whole bag of seeds can ship for (Sell Price X 9), the profit from that, whether you can reharvest or not and the total profit. SEASON - This is basically self-explanatory, this shows you what season the crop can be grown in. CROP - Again, kinda self-explanatory, this is basically what crop it is. COST OF SEEDS - Self-explanatory, basically the cost of the seeds when you buy them. SELL PRICE - Basically how much each crop can be sold for. So for example, each turnip you ship is worth 60 G. SELL PRICE X 9 - This may be somewhat confusing, but it is just the sell price of that crop times 9 since you plant the seeds on 9 plots of land. For example, when you plant turnip seeds, the seeds are scattered and planted on nine plots of land (3 by 3). Once the turnips are finally ready to be harvested, you get 9. If you shipped all 9 of them (meaning you didn't give any away, or used any of them to cook), you will receive 540 G. PROFIT - This is the SP X 9 minus the cost of seeds. REHARVEST? - This tells you whether or not a crop can be reharvested. TOTAL PROFIT - The total profit you can get from the bag of seeds. This is more for the crops that can be reharvested. The total profit is basically: 2 times the (Sell Price X 9) minus the cost of the bag of seeds. ===== 3.B. MY OPINIONS ===== Here are my opinions on some of the best crops to grow each season. SPRING - Cabbage Let's face it, out of all the crops that are growable in Spring, cabbage is the crop that hasthe most overall profit. An important point is that cabbage is NOT a reharvestable crop. So you earn a sure profit of 1750 G(considering you shipped them all and didn't use any for cooking/presents/threw them away etc.) each bag you plant. You should plant a lot of them in the Spring, and if you have a limited amount of space on your field, here's a tip: Plant the cabbages on the FIRST day of Spring. Then, after you harvest them, plant them on the same spot the previous cabbages were. Make sure you plant the cabbages on the SAME DAY you harvested the previous ones! This is because the cabbages take approximately 15 days to grow completely. This way, you are able to plant 2 sets of cabbages, doubling your overall profit. However, if you want a reharvestable crop during the Spring, then I suggest cucumbers, also a very good cropin this season too. SUMMER - Pineapple A VERY profitable crop. In fact, the highest in the game, BUT (and that's a big but), you can only harvest it twice maximum in the summer. So it's total profit for one bag is 8000 G MAXIMUM, no higher than that. When compared to other crops, for example, the sweet potatoe, the pineapple total profit is not as much compared to it. Taking into account that you can harvest the sweet potatoe multiple times. The pineapples take a long time to grow, taking around 20 days to harvest and around another 5-6 days to reharvest. Since each season is 30 days long, you are just one day short of another harvest and a chance to make another 4500 G. >_<! Overall, the pineapple is a great crop for summer. But for those he don't like the waiting, I recommend the corn. Reharvestable and with a sell price of 100 G each, very good indeed. You can also use the corn to make feed for your chickens. FALL - Sweet Potatoe In my opinion, the BEST (and I mean best) crop to grow in the whole game. Too bad it's only for Fall though. >_<. It's reharvestable, it has a high sell price, it grows fast, IT'S A BIG MONEY MAKER! It regrows in around 2 days which is very fast, compared to the pineapple..-_-".During the Fall, you should just plant all sweet potatoes, period, trust me you wil get LOADS of money even though you are just planting one kind of crop. The sweet potatoes will grow very fast, so I STRONGLY suggest getting the Harvest Spritesto help. But, if you don't feel like growing only sweet potatoes, then I recommend the eggplants as the next best thing in Fall. ===== 3.C. ADDITIONAL NOTES ===== Crops marked with an asterick (*) can only be bought once you have shipped 100 of each of the crops grown in the same season. You will get a letter in your mailbox telling you that it is available for you to buy at the super market. To get the STRAWBERRY seeds you need to ship 100 fo each: - Turnips - Potatoes - Cucumbers - Cabbage To get the PUMPKIN seeds you need to ship 100 of each: - Pineapples - Onions - Tomatoes - Corn To get the SPINACH seeds you need to ship 100 of each: - Green Peppers - Sweet Potatoes - Eggplants - Carrots ===== 4. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ===== 1. Q: I can't grow ----- crop! A: First, make sure you are planting the crop in the correct season. Remember to till your soil before you plant your seeds and water them once everyday. 2. Q: Where do I get ----- seeds? A: Check the super market (where Karen's parents work) and Won's shop (at the beach). At the supermarket, seeds will only appear in the season that it can be grown in. For example, you can only get carrot seeds at the supermarket in Fall because that is whenit can be grown. At Won's shop, the seeds are there all year so you don't have to wait until the season it is grown in. 3. Q: How do you get the strawberry, spinach and pumpkin seeds? A: Read section 3.C. 4. Q: What can you do with crops? A: SHIP THEM TO GET MONEY!! Or you can use them to cook, if you have a kitchen. You can also give them people as presents. 5. Q: How do you ship crops? A: Walk over to a shipment box (one is just above that little pond in at your farm, there are others in your chicken coop and barn), hold a crop in your hands and press A. Make sure you are facing the box before you press A or else you will throw your crop on the floor and you can never get it back! 6.Q. Your guide is missing -----! A: It's not a question, but if you think that my guide is missing anything, email me.You are welcomed to submit any information to this guide and I will give you full credit for it. 7.Q. ----- is wrong in your guide! A. Again, not a question, but if see anything wrong in my guide, email me and I will try to correct it. ===== 5. COPYRIGHT INFORMATION ===== This guide was created and owned by me, CanisLupus.
