Question for The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

What am I supposed to do in level 3 of the dark world. I've gotten to that door that you can't get 2 because of those holes. Also how do you get into the door with the thing with the long pole sticking out of it's mouth.

You get into the door with the thing with the long pole sticking out of it's mouth by standing in front of it and shot it with the fire stafe.
