When I play the game on my nintendo ds{or my gba for that matter} I play as knuckles and I get to zone 5-2 and then die but then when I turn the console off and on again I have to start on 1-1 again:( Why does it delete the file?

if you turned it off in mid-level, stop doing that. let your guy die, THEN turn it off after you hear a ring. if you did I don't know what to say.
