Chao HELP

How do you ge a metallic chao on this game? Also how do you make your first chao look cool?

To get a shiny chao you have to buy a shiny chao egg, which come in various colors, but are more expensive then the egg of the non-shiny version of that color. Just remember the chao won't look shiny until you put him on Sonic Adventure 2 Battle Gamecube game.
