Houndour isn't in Ruby or Sapphire. I believe you can import it from Colosseum, though.

Houndour isn't in Pokemon Ruby game, but to find it, go in Pokemon Crystal or Gold or Silver.

You can catch Houndour in pokemon sapphire and Ruby(Not sure because didn't play it before. In S and R, you can catch it in little root town (Because I just caught it today.) And for Emerald, you can catch it in the Safari Zone. I hope this answer useful and let me know what you think. Have fun capturing it!!

I was told to get the acro bike, then go to the safari zone an hold b until your jumping,after that go into the grass while jumping and you'll find a houndour, stantler,milktank, and gligar

I think it's inly in Emerald version. Go to the new area of safari zone after beating elite four you can encounter johto pokemons, houndour included.

yeah. you HAVE TO battle the eliete 4 or this willnot work
