You must recruit Ho-oh that is at MT.Faraway 40th floor, then viola, you unlocked Western Cave were Mewtwo awaits

After beating/recruiting Ho-Oh from Mt.Faraway. Western Cave should then be unlocked.

To unlock western cave you have to first go through Fiery field,Lightning field,then Northern field. After that you have to go Mount faraway and beat ho-oh. You must get him before you can go to western cave. Ho-oh needs to be beaten more than once. Don't worry though he's easy to get.
