Question for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team

I am plannning on getting this game later today, and I want to start as a Cubone, however he starts with no attacking moves.

I have played the blue rescue force game with my friend, and I noticed some temple-like thing with a Makuhita near it. Can I train and/or level up there so Cubone will hopefully reach level 9 and learn Bone Club?

Well, Cubone can attack by pressing "A" button.
After a while, the Makuhita Dojo opens, I think it's about when shiftry goes missing.
