Question for Metriod Fusion

I've just defeated the mechanical spider and gotten back to my ship to recharge but I can't find the roots in the core. Can someone please help?

Ok,go back to the save room near the mechanical spider at the bottom of the Reactor Core Silo.Save and make sure you have full missles.Go out of the save room and stay at the bottom until you get to the bottom left wall.Go up staying at the left wall.There's going to be an opening covered by roots.Destroy them and the path will take you to Sector 2.(TRO)Careful,MAKE SURE YOU'RE READY TO LAUNCH A MISSLE!Why?Because if listen,there will be slow,quiet footsteps...that's right.You have to drop down and FREEZE the SA-X and RUN!
