Can someone tell me how to do the thing with the evil spirits?(just the seaside ones or if you can't it'll be alright if you just give me the answer to one or two but please include Seaside area 1)

Nevermind, I've figured out what I had to do a while ago though...,but anyway it was just that I forgot that if you hit the evil spirits in the back they disapear after one hit.
