Dodging is a random chance based on:
- Enemy's Rate of Success stat
- Your Medabot's Evasion stat on it's Legs
Keep in mind that using Berserk or Aim Shot makes evasion impossible until a different action is used.
There are Medaparts that can increase evasion that you can get later; find the green-looking broken Medaparts in the Odoro Marsh caves.
The Chameleon medal has the Hide N Seek Medaforce that can also increase your team's evasion.
The Movement status effect (Virus or Bug) also lowers the enemy's Rate of Success. If they attack with the debuff applied, there's a decent chance you can evade their attack so long as they aren't using Bomb attacks (Missile/Napalm) or you used Berserk/Aim Shot.
