Hermie III

After defeating Hermie, when he asks for a replacement item for the beanstar piece, where do I find the replacement piece to give to Hermie?

To do this piece of the game, you need the Ultra Hammer. Search for a spot that has those black rocks that you can't break with the super hammer (I forgot where that spot is). Break the rocks and enter the area. You'll find a star that says he "wants to be on the top of a festive tree." Take him to Hermie III and the star will land on Hermie's shell. Hermie will then give you a Bros. Badge.

You do not give him a replacement you just defeat him.
