If you cheat, will you get the sock that comes from Ellen?

If you cheat (All houses upgraded), will the sock that came from Ellen will be put/hang in your house?

Nope, you should do it by yourself, cheat by getting the Yarn (S). But you need to be friends with Ellen, so if you want to know you're friends with Ellen, she'll open her house at 6:30 am for you. You can only do this in winter 1-23, give her yarn before 11 pm everday until there is a sock in your sock hanger.
