Yeah I'm playing this game in my pc, it's a gameboy advance version or shall I say the format of it is a gameboy actually but I just download it to play in pc but however, playing this in pc unable you to use the gamecube or other that needs connections to other player. By the way here is my question:
Can I still finish the game w/o those "needs connection event"? Like the gamecube!

No you don't need to connect the Gamecube to it. It's only if you want Van to come to your town, or if you want the Beach house but you can get the beach house from cheats so it doesn't matter.
No, you don't need a GameCube or other connection you just need a Cheat Engine that can help you cheat many things like your money into unliited usage!!!
