Killing Ex-Death

I am having the hardest time killing Ex-Death. It says he is susceptible to Holy and I have a Holy Sword but when I strike him with it it only takes off one point. Can anybody give me some tips on how to kill him?

Well I don't know if you are using an excalipoor sword.
You can defeat him with just a good weapons and armor with consisting spells...
You can also defeat him when at the rigt levek

You should master every class with bartz and then make him free lancer then for the abilitys use spell blade and focus. Use flare with the swords and after that use focus you should almost max out on every hit
