The people you can play as are Goku,Vegeta,Young Trunks,Goten,and older Gohan.
goku,vegeta,little trunks,goten,older gohan
You can also play as gogeta and vegeto to kick janembas and buu's a*s.
After trunks and goten learn fusion you can play as gotenks.
