If you want real BIG Money... Buy a Basket, Attend to the Horse Festival in Spring or in Fall, Make sure you have you're basket brought and alot of money saved like 5,000 Gold or 10,000 Gold. (You don't need you're Horse). Save the game at you're diary, bet a random horse, and then if someone wins for example 3rd horse will win... Load you're game file and then bet all you're money to the winner. After that, you got allota medals. Spend all you're medals to broaches. Why? Because broaches will give you 2,000 Gold. And then make sure you're basket is filled with broaches and you're rucksack. Leave the festival, get your basket to the Town Square and ship you're broaches. In 5:00 you'll get many money (Maximum money I got so far is 20,000 Gold). Hope this helped.
