Oh, ok the way you get rock smash is after you beat or chatch sudowoodo go to the pth just to the right talk to the big guy there and he should give you the tm for rocksmash.

Rock Smash is TM 08. You get it from the man outside of Violet City after clearing Route 36 of the Sudowoodo. Then, you can buy it at the Goldenrod Dept. Store.

Once you fefeat/capyure Sudowoodo, you can get rock smash from a guy standing on a path just outside Violet city.

Clear Route 36 of that plant Pokemon, then there is a rock climber, talk to him and he will give you TM 08.

After you beat sudowoodo, go to the right of where he was just outside the ruins of alph. There is a rock climber which will give you tm 08.
