Question for Pokemon Gold

I found my old GBC with Pokemon gold and a BLAZE xploder GB. Whenever I click on one of the cheats then press 'start game' it takes me to a 'cheatcode trainer' menu which I can't seem to get off?

Try not using Cheat Codes and see if that helps.
