#1 - Sherlock Holmes
Residing in 221B Baker Street in Victorian London, Sherlock Holmes is known for his proficiency with observation, forensic science, and logical reasoning that borders on the fantastic, which he employs when investigating cases for a wide variety of clients, including Scotland Yard.
#2 - Batman
After witnessing the murder of his parents as a child Bruce Wayne swore vengeance against criminals, an oath tempered by a sense of justice. Bruce Wayne trains himself physically and intellectually and crafts a bat-inspired persona to fight crime in Gotham City. Originally named the 'Bat-Man', the character is also referred to by such epithets as the Caped Crusader, the Dark Knight, and the World's Greatest Detective.
#3 - Colombo
Colombo is a homicide detective with the Los Angeles Police Department who is of Italian descent who is consistently underestimated by his suspects who, while initially reassured and distracted by his circumstantial speech, become increasingly annoyed by his pestering behavior. Despite his unassuming appearance and apparent absentmindedness, he is extremely intelligent and shrewdly solves all of his cases and secures all evidence needed for a conviction.
#4 - Inspector Clouseau
Clouseau is an inept and incompetent police detective in the French Sûreté, whose investigations quickly turn to chaos. His absent-mindedness almost always leads to destruction of property. Despite his lack of judgement and skill, Clouseau always solves his cases and finds the correct culprits, entirely by accident. Clouseau is eventually promoted to Chief Inspector.
#5 - The Scooby Gang
Mystery Inc., made up of Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and of course, Scooby Doo, solve mysteries in their van The Mystery Machine.The Scooby Gang is led by Fred who is the determined detective, Velma is the intelligent analyst, Daphne is danger-prone, Shaggy is a coward more motivated by hunger than any desire to solve mysteries, and Scooby who is similar to Shaggy.
