Five Nights at Freddys: Security Breach Beginners Tips and Tricks

Listed below are several Beginner Tips and Tricks which will help you in Five Nights at Freddys: Security Breach.

Learn the Hiding Spots

The easiest way in which to evade the animatronics haunting the Pizzaplex is to use one of the mall's various hiding spots. These include bins, baskets, lockers, foodstalls, pushchairs, photo booths and end even Freddy himself. It is important that you pay attention early in the game to what is and isn't a hiding spot as the game will not point them out and knowing what they are will help you to evade capture in later parts of the game. Make sure you are familiar with how you need to approach the hiding spots, as entering them can be finicky. To enter a hiding spot you need to approach it head-on so the 'press square / E to hide' prompt appears on-screen. Try not to double press the button while entering the hiding spot as it will cancel the animation.

Use the Cameras

It is crucial that you become acquainted with the various cameras that you have scattered around each area, as they will enable you to keep tabs on the animatronis and also allow you to plot paths through areas while sitting safely in a hiding spot. Simply pull up the cameras, locate the animatronic you are trying to avoid and plot a route to another hiding spot, and then head there. Keep repeating this process until you are home free.

Listen Carefully

The animatronics in Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach will taunt you as they try to find you. Make sure while you are navigating through the Pizzaplex you listen carefully and make a mental note of the direction the taunt is coming from, which animatronic is saying it and how loud it is. If the voice is near you need to quickly find a hiding spot and pull up your cameras to find out exactly where the animatronic is and plot a path that enables you to avoid it. If you hear loud footsteps the animatronic is lurking near your hiding spot and you need to stay where you are.

Remember to Save Often

As there are no checkpoints in Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach it is essential that you get into the habit of regularly making save points as part of your routine. Without no checkpoints to return to when Gregory gets caught saving your game will ensure you will not have to replay long stretches of it. Most areas will offer a conveniently placed save station which you can stop off during your travels, and its up to you to remember where they are and return to it after completing an objective.

Break Line of Sight to Avoid Capture

Resist the temptation to bolt to the exit of the area when an animatronic spots you as Gregory's stamina meter will run out before you reach it, and you will be easily captured. The best use of the stamina bar is to put some distance between yourself and the animatronic by sprinting away from it. While you are doing this, look for a corner or pillar that will enable you to break the line of sight between you and your pursuer. Once you have managed that quickly look for a hiding place where you can safely wait until the animatronic returns to its regular patrol.

Use Freddy

Unlike other installments in the series the animatronic Freddy Fazbear is an ally in Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach that will help you throughout your adventure. Use Freddy to fend off threats and as a moving hiding spot by clambering inside his stomach and piloting him past wandering threats. Freddy's power meter however will drain when you use him so you need to save him for tricky situations. When Freddy does starts to run out of charge you need to leave him and find a recharge point. You don't need Freddy to enter one as he will teleport to you once you go inside the booth.

Unlock Multiple Endings

In previous Five Night at Freddy's games you were only given two options: survive the five nights or die to the murderous animatronics. In the latest installment in the game series there are a total of six endings that can be achieved, five of those are 'good' endings that all have varying degrees of positivity in regard to who ends up surviving and one bad ending. The game ends when you manage to escape, and the choices you made along the way determine the ending you will receive. Take a look at our Unlock Endings Guide to see what the requirement is for each ending.
