Family Matters (2013)

The introduction of the Family Matters Mission and Quests also introduces a new object - the camera and tripod - and highlights the fact that there is a mechanism in the game for taking photos of your farm and the activities thereon. We suspect that both reminding about this feature and introducing it to the farmers who are unaware of it was sort of the point to this Mission and its Quests.

In this case though rather than taking photos of the various objects, animals, and scenes on your farm, you are instead invited to have a family and friends reunion, using the camera to pose and snap pictures of your mates (and family one would suppose)...

As hinted above, this all happens thanks to the special Photo Reunion Camera - which you must first place as a construction project and then build before you complete the quests that result in the gatherings and the resultant photos.

Building the Camera

If your farm has reached Level 10 or beyond you will have unlocked this Mission and be presented with the camera construction project. To complete it you will need the following:

• Flash Bulb x10 (Feed Post)
  
• Tripod x10 (Direct Request)
  
• Camera Lens x10 (Direct Request)
  

Once you have completed constructing the camera with the aid of three of your neighbors, you may then commence the quests that are associated with this mission.

Quest I: Shutterbug Daze

• Place the Photo Reunion Camera
  
• Feed 2 Adult Goats
  
• Tend the Yogurt Creamery 1 Time
  

Quest II: Inflated Expectations

• Collect 5 Reunion Balloons
  
• Feed 3 Adult Rabbits
  
• Tend the Rabbit Warren 1 Time
  

Quest III: Picture This

• Water 8 Trees (can be two Groves)
  
• Feed 3 Adult Horses
  
• Tend the Fertilizer Bin 1 Time
  

Quest IV: Playing My Song

• Collect 5 Country Records
  
• Feed 10 Adult Chickens
  
• Tend the Chicken Coop 1 Time
  

Quest V: Milk It

• Complete the Photo Reunion Camera
  
• Feed 4 Adult Sheep
  
• Tend the Sheep Shack 1 Time
  

Quest VI: What a Prize

• Fertilize 30 Crops
  
• Obtain 1 Prize Crop
  
• Tend the Fertilizer Bin 1 Time
  

Quest VII: Have a Seat

• Collect 5 Picnic Chairs
  
• Feed 4 Adult Goats
  
• Tend the Goat Shelter 1 Time
  

Quest 8: Photo Finish

• Harvest 25 Cantaloupe
  
• Tend the Furnace 2 Times
  
• Make 2 Cantaloupe Smoothies
  

MISSION NOTES:

(1) Additional Photo Reunion Cameras can be purchased from the General Store for 25K Farm Coins, with the basic requirements for this additional Photo Reunion Camera being the same as for the original one.

(2) You may discover when you begin this quest that you already have some of the items even though clearly you did not collect or obtain these in advance - this happens with other quests as well in other missions, and nobody knows why...

(3) Requirements for taking the actual photos appear to vary from farmer to farmer! While we only know what was required to take the snaps we took, from conversations with other farmers it appears that they often had slightly different requirements?
