How to Upgrade Characters

Knowing how to upgrade characters in Disney Mirrorverse is crucial for ensuring you have the strongest team possible. This guide will tell you the different options you have available, where to find the required resources, and how to use them.

XP Motes

XP Motes are very important in Disney Mirrorverse as they are used to increase a character's level. There are two different kinds of XP motes - universal and class specific. The difference between the two is that the white unviversal XP Motes can be used by any character while the class specific XP Modes can only be used on the corresponding class type. XP motes can be found by completing most of the campaign missions in the game. Keep in mind that once you reach level 20 with a character you will only able to use tier 2 motes and upon reaching level 50 only tier 3 modes can be used.

Gems

Once your character has reached the max level of its rank you will need to use gems to unlock the level cap so that you are able to use more XP Motes. Similarly to XP Motes gems also come in universal and class-specific, and it is the latter of the two you need to advance. Gems are acquired in secondary modes like events with certain classes of gems only becoming available on specific days.

Talents

Each of the characters has different and unique talents that you can use. Not all the talents are worth investing in, so you need to make sure you know how to get the best possible value. In order to get the best possible synergy between skills and talent you will need to read the 'Guardian Skills'.

Crystals

Unlike most hero collector games you will not be able to farm Crystals (sometimes referred to as shards) as they are rewards that can only be found in loot boxes. Crystals are the premium currency of the game and once you have collected enough of them you will be able to gain a star. Once a character has reached at least 4 stars you will unlock a signature ability for them which can then be upgraded by pulling duplicates of that character from the gacha.
