Where to Find All Hide-and-Seek Cleffa in Southern Ruins

Local Concerns in Detective Pikachu Returns are side quests that you can choose to take on during the game. While exploring the Southern Ruins in the Fabled Aurora you will come across one of these Local Concerns in the form of a Cleffa who needs help tracking down her three friends who are playing hide-and-seek. Before you start searching for the Cleffa you need to note that you can only complete the Local Concern once you have progressed the story to the point where you have entered the ruins and unlocked Galarian Darmanitan as a mount for Pikachu.

• Cleffa Location #1

  In order to find the first Cleffa you need to head through the archway that is to the right of the Cleffa that gave you the Local Concern and proceed to ascend the dirt hill until you reach the ruin door. From there you need to turn left and follow the path until you come across a Berry tree with a Cleffa standing next to it. If you interact with this Pokemon it will admit defeat in the hide-and-seek game and return to its friend.

• Cleffa Location #2

  The second Cleffa can also be found outside the ruins. Starting from the Cleffa searching for its friends, head right, passing a group of Berry trees until you reach a trio of Lotad gathered in front of an icy pond. If you look to the right of the pond you find the second Cleffa you are looking for. When you interact with it the Cleffa will leave and reunite with its friend.

• Cleffa Location #3

  In order to find the third and final Cleffa to finish the Local Concern you will need to have unlocked the Galarian Darmanitan mount within the Southern Ruins. Mount the Galarian Darmanitan as Pikachu and exit the ruins completely. You need to go south down the dirt hill and turn right so you descend another dirt hill until you reach where Leavanny is standing. Then turn left and continue until you come across a man searching for fossils with his partner Pokemon.

  If you look next to the man searching for the fossils you will notice a cluster of rocks that you can shatter using the Galarian Darmanitan. To break the rocks you need to press the 'R' button on your Nintendo Switch controller. Upon smashing the rocks you will reveal the third and final Cleffa you are looking for. Similar to the previous two, engage in conversation with the Cleffa to make it leave and return to its friend.

  There is no reward for finding the three Cleffa and finishing the Local Concern.
