Darkside Genesis Creature Cores Guide

Creature Cores in Darksiders Genesis are special items that are dropped throughout the game by enemies when you defeat them. They are used to enhance the stats of Strife and War so they become more powerful in a variety of ways. Check out our Creature Cores Guide to find out everything you need to know about them.

Creature Cores in Darksiders Genesis are obtained whenever you kill an enemy, killing the same enemy over and over again will result in picking up the same Creatrue Cores but at an increased level. You can get the unique Creature Cores by Killing bosses and elite enemy monsters. You will be able to access your 'Creature Cores' menu from the 'Pause' menu when you reach Vulgrim for the first time. Aside from killing enemies during the game you can also purchase Creature Codes from Vulgrim or earn them in the Arena.

You can place your Creature Cores however you want, each one will improve the Health, Attack, or Wrath powers of the character it has been given to. Creature Cores can also impact a skill either character has, such as increasing the damage of an ability move or reducing a cooldown. You can read a description of a Creature Core to find out exactly what kind of effect it will have by clicking on an empty slot, and then choosing an available Creature Core from the list on the left of the screen.

Each Creature Core is a specific type, and if you match the slot type with the Creature Core type you will get an increased effect. Two things you need to remeber are Creature Cores dropped by bosses can only go into Major Creature Slots and a Wild Type slot can have any Creature Core placed in them. You can remove Creature Cores and place them in different slots as long as the adjacent slots have an active Creature Core in it otherwise it will not be powered. Make sure you try different builds with the Creature Cores you have availabe so you can determine which ones have the best impact on Strife and War.
