Introduction

There are a lot of mixed views about Crackdown some people think it is the best thing since sliced bread whilst others think it is one of the worst video games ever to disgrace the Xbox 360. I am divided in opinion as I think it is a great game to begin but it has a weak storyline and it is very very similar all the way through, it get boring quickly.

Graphics

I give Crackdown a 9 on graphics as I just love comic book style graphics and these have to be the best that I have seen. There is the odd flaw every now and again with wight lines appearing everywhere especially in the sea but they are not that noticeable and you don't spend that much time swimming anyway.

Sound

The voice acting is okay but not brilliant. Each gang has a different set of sayings used by each of their gang members some of which are quite comical. Also each of the gang leaders has a different set of sayings, however after a while of fighting the same gang you might start to get bored of hearing the same thingd over and over again. They have the gunshot and explosion sounds pretty much nailed too.

Gameplay

Very good to start but gets very repetitive towards the end of the game. Jumping really really high and from rooftop to rooftop is always fun. Also being able to kick and throw cars at groups of enemies is pretty good fun too. There is also a wide variety of weapons including sniper rifles and rocket launchers along with the good old assault rifles.

Lastability

Could be completed within a few hours if you went straight from one gang boss to the next, especially if you play co-operatively. Does not take that long either way as it is not an overly difficult game to play and can be fairly linear. Also once all the gangs are taken out there is othing to do except collect all the orbs which gets real old real fast.

Overall

Overall crackdown is an okay game that can be a lot of fun in small doses and co-operative play is always a good feature for a game of this type. However as mentioned above can be completed in next to no time and gets really boring and repetitive after a few hours of gameplay. My personal opinion is do not buy this game for more that �5 is it is just not worth it, if you really must have ot get it pre-owned do not pay full price as you will probably get bored of it and trade it in within a few weeks.
