Once you have given the specified number of Spirit Logs that Flamey requests he will shoot up into an eerie blue flame. When Flamey returns to normal several changes will have happened around the island, if you take a look around you will now find new items and Ghost Bears you can help. Ghost Bears are the NPC residents of the island who give you the scavenging and crafting tasks that are called Spirit Logs.

As you progress in Cozy Grove you will occasionally encounter an imp. These spirits will be walking around with a bubble over their head that will depict an item which if you give them will reward you with money or useful items. Imps however are shy spirits and in order to give them the item they desire you must equip it in your hand, get close enough, and then hurl it at them. When you do this the imp will recover the item and a heart will appear over their head indicating you can now approach and interact with them to collect your reward.

An important feature in Cosy Grove is crafting, and it is essential that you know how to get crafting recipes in order to complete the tasks you are given by Ghost Bears, or requests from imps and spirit animals. Crafting is unlocked via the Carpenter Ghost Bear called Jeremy Gruffle. You will have access to several crafting recipes straight away when you visit the Carpenter Ghost Bear but additional ones need to be found through exploration or by doing an activity such as fishing.

Upgrading the different things around the island is expensive which means you will need to make a lot of money. Some Spirit Logs will also require you to obtain items that are costly, so it is essential that you make money to pay for them. Go Fishing
Once you have obtained a fishing rod you will be able to catch fish all over the island and sell them to Mr. Kit for money. When you are fishing you need to wait for the fish to bite hard before reeling in the bobber. Don't be fooled by the fish inspecting the bobber or nibbling at the bobber. When the bobber drops below the water that is the time to reel it in. Differently shaped fish shadows mean different types of fish and not all types of fish are available at all times of the year. Play different months to collect as many types of fish as possible.

Dig Up Cracks and Hack Shrubbery
When you get the shovel you will be able to use it to dig up the cracks you see in the ground to find food items or coins. The excess food you dig up can always be taken to Mr. Kit and sold for money. The machete is another tool which once you obtain can be used to hack away at the shrubbery found around the island to get items and coins. If any of your tools break you can take it to Maker Ghost Bear and tell him you want to repair it.

Clear Leaf Piles
Always check any leaf piles you come across around the island because there is always the possibility you will find coins underneath them when you clear them up. Clearing up the leaf piles will also make more spawn around the island enabling you to get even more coins.

It is important that you remember to check your in-game mail each day as lots of the mail you receive will have presents attached to them which will be essential items needed to complete tasks. There will also be items attached to mails that are not connected to tasks but will somehow enable you to do more in the game.

You can leave decorations and pets on the ground, and although they may move each day they will not be destroyed which will happen if you leave resources there. In order to keep your resources safe you need to place them in storage, the size of your camp in Cozy Grove dictates the number of items you can keep in storage. In order to increase the size of your storage you need to pay Flamey to upgrade, this is expensive but essential as it will enable to store more things and make your progression in the game easier.

You will receive 'Story Advanced' notifications as you fulfil the tasks the ghosts give and color will slowly return to the island, and you will be able to interact with more items. The primary way to do this in Cozy Grove is to Feed Spirit Logs to Flamey. It is important in order to not miss out on their rewards that you complete the tasks the ghosts give you as quickly as possible as many of them will have time limitations.

Charlotte Pine
The first Ghost Bear you meet in Cozy Grove is Charlotte Pine and if during the game you can't find a specific object for a quest you have the option of paying her to help you locate it. One you have paid her fee a small green icon with a magnifying glass symbol will appear and point you to one item.

Flamey
If you visit Flamey you can find out how many Spirit Log tasks still need to be completed and if there is anything else that needs to be done. If there is nothing available to do you will have no option but to wait until the next day before you can progress further in the game.

Captains Snout's Collection becomes unlocked on the second day of Cozy Grove, and it is one of the best ways in which to make money. This basically involves donating items to Captain Snout in exchange for money, and it is an easy way to rack up lots of money. Occasionally your donations will not result in money but in gemstones or brand-new recipes which are even more desirable. The money you get from Captain Snout in exchange for your donations can then be used to purchase special items from Mr. Kit, the fox or to craft valuable items. When you begin Cozy Grove the island will be quite small but as you progress in the game completing the tasks the ghosts give you it will become much bigger. On the first you will find yourself limited as to what you can do as there will only be a few ghosts and a couple of tools. Once all the tasks the ghosts offer have been completed you will not be able to advance any further in the game that day and will need to wait for the next day to commence. You can however still gather items and sell them during this waiting period. This basically means you have daily limitations and the more you progress through the game the more ghosts will become unlocked and the more tasks you will have to complete. It also means new tools will become unlocked which will allow you to do more types of gathering each day.
