Reroll Guide

In gacha games like Counter: Side, rerolling is essential if you want to guarantee starting with some top-tier units so you are able to progress through the early stages of the game smoothly. By following the steps in this Reroll Guide you will be able to have the hero you want. Keep in mind that Counter: Side has a special banner that you can reroll 30 times on that has some of the best SSR characters in the game, this makes rerolling in this game not really necessary unless you plan to stay F2P.

Step #1 - Create a Guest Account

Make sure to login using Guest Account - this enables you to easily reset your progress if you are not satisfied with the characters you pull.

Step #2 - Play through the Tutorial

Play through the Tutorial till you reach the lobby. This normally takes around 5-7 minutes if you click through all the dialogue.

Step #3 - New CEO Banner

The game will force you to do a 10-pull on the New Ceo banner which guarantees you an SSR Rarity character in 30 pulls or less. The cost to pull on that banner is also cheaper as each pull costs only 100 Quartz, instead of the normal 150 Quartz. The best characters you can pull are Nanahara Chifuyu and Gaeun. Other SSR characters you can get are Kyle Wong, Elizabeth Pendragon, Seo Yoon, and Esterosa de Chevalier.

Step #4. Selective Recruitment Banner

The game will now force you do a pull on Selective Recruitment Banner. Each time you do a 10-pull, you will always receive 1 SSR character, 3 SR characters, and 3 Rare characters and 3 Normal Rarity characters. Again, the best characters you can pull are Nanahara Chifuyu and Gaeun. Keep in mind that if you intend to play PvP you need to get Gaeun as only Gaeun can beat another Gaeun. Other SSR characters you can get are Elizabeth Pendragon, Esterosa de Chevalier, and Nanahara Chinatsu. Do a 10-pull, but don't accept the results (regardless if it's a character you want). Press the 'Back' button in the top left corner instead (you will be returning to this banner).

Step #5 - Check your Mail

Remain on the recruitment screen and press the Mail icon in the top right part of the screen. Collect all the rewards from there. What you get will depend on the server you are starting on. If it is a SEA server you will only get your first day login rewards. If you are starting on a new server, like the JPN one that was released on 16th December 2021 you will get some other goodies, these will include some Quartz.

Step #6 - Use the Goodies

These goodies are the pre-register rewards, and you now need to put them to good use. If the JPN server follows the SEA release order then the first banner that will be there on launch will be the White Rabbit banner and the promoted employee will be Yang Harim which is a character worth having. Yang Harim is a unique buffer/healer hybrid that is a must-have for PvE content.

Step #7 - Continue the Tutorial

Leave the Recruitment screen and return to the Lobby once you have used all your Quartz. Follow the Tutorial until you reach the screen above. At this point the reroll has ended and from here onward you will be able to browse the game as you want. This means you can now press the 'Lobby' button instead of going in the battle.
