Call of duty black ops, the seventh edition of the Call of duty franchise has been hyped up a considerable amount and has delivered quite well, although it is not a perfect game, it is a very good one, and keep in mind, there is no perfect game, so if your thinking of purchasing this game, I wouldn't advise you not to, although having a wireless internet connection in your house, will certainly make the game more enjoyable, because the multiplayer section of the game has definitely put the career mode to shame, although the career mode is quite enjoyable, don't you worry.

Much better graphics than the other games in the series, and since I am writing this review after modern warfare three is out, I am quite willing to say that this games graphics, are better than MW3.Tough the career mode has some exceptional graphics, it is not as good a MW3, the better graphics lie in the multiplayer mode( compared to MW3 and the career mode in black ops), it is like you are really there, it may sound like I am exaggerating, but this game deserves it, when I played in Kowloon, I really felt as if I was in Thailand.

In this aspect of the game however, the multiplayer section definitely has some flaws, the same cannot be said for the career however, if you set your TV volume to a suitable level, the career is very good. The reason why I say that the multiplayer section has some flaws is because of the footsteps, I mean you sound like a elephant in this game, clomping around all over the place, but use the ninja perk, and all this gets solved, although the sound is good, it could use a bit of work, not much, just a bit.

As I said before, multiplayer game play is much more enjoyable than the career mode, but when I say that, I don't mean that the career mode sucks and the multiplayer section is OK, I mean the multiplayer section is superb and the career is really good. The career mode has a unique plot and some fabulous twist, turns and surprises that will leave even the most renowned writer smiling to himself. The multiplayer game play has modes for the beginner as well as for the veteran. The combat training section is great for beginners to get a feel for the game, and the actual online section of the game is great for good players and vets alike.

The career mode, sadly, is quite short, after five hours of non-stop playing ( it was vacation time XD) I was finished, but the things I had to do in those five hours were very much enjoyable. However, fortunately the multiplayer section is fairly long as there are 50 levels and 15 prestige levels, I have been playing this game for about 6 months and I am still at level 40, although, I am not the greatest player ever ( I did however have a big exam during one of those months, in which I had to study for six weeks, so I have technically been playing for 4 months), so I am quite happy with the lastability of this game.

As I said before the game is quite superb, and lacks only in the sound department. I am bold enough to say that it is one of the best first person shooting game to ever be invented, it really is a brilliant game, if you were no convinced before about whether to buy the game or not, I'm sure you are now, have fun playing and enjoy yourself.

Final Score: 88%
