Firstly Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare is far superior and surpasses all other Call of Duty releases. All aspects of this game are better in every way. You are first introduced with a video clip of what the action packed game provides. The game then starts off with a training exercise that lets you establish the controls and each button use. Then into a small action level that still provides you with help for how to hide, throw grenades and when to duck for cover. Once completed then you are launched into the 3 part Call of Duty missions.

The graphics in Call of Duty 4 are outstanding and a huge step up from the prequel. A well-placed shot will see blood splatter and enemies wither in pain. The environment is excellently constructed with detail provided down to the last inch. The particulars of the characters are remarkable with each having their own traits such as facial structure and facial hair. The game also goes a step further with advanced night vision goggles that lights up the darkest rooms. The graphics are definitely not compromised in online multiplayer levels either. By far the graphics on this game would be one of the best on Xbox 360.

The sound is good on this game but nothing outstanding to really notice. However that is also a good thing as it means there wasnt any sound effect that ruined the game play. The music/sound in game and out of game was good, as it didnt dominate any features.

The game play in Call of Duty 4 is exceptional with multiple differing levels. The campaign mode is definitely not boring as one level is not the same as the next. One minute youre in a gun ship then youre in a ghillie suit creeping past enemies in the grass. The game offers a variety of weaponry to choose from, allowing you to carry two main guns, instead of the traditional one main gun and a side arm. My personal favourite in the game is the sniper rifles. Call of Duty 4 offers a realistic shooting style, where you have to aim in front of a running enemy and a torso shot would drop an enemy but would not kill them. That is another aspect that was included, when you drop an enemy but he is not fully dead he will try and crawl to cover or will just sit up and shoot you with his handgun.

The lastability of another Call of Duty game is the same as the rest, limited until the next instalment is released. The campaign and online multiplayer will keep this game alive and provide more excitement than the others so Infinity Ward and Activision will have extra time to produce another one. Be warned the online action can get very addictive with unlocking extra weapons and upgrades while moving up ranks.

Overall Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare is a must play and highly recommended by many. If you enjoyed the other prequels then this game is going to blow you away. So far it could easily be one of the best first person shooters on Xbox 360. It provides outstanding graphics and game play action along with a deep online multiplayer shooter. For once a game finally lives up to the title next generation.
