How to Unlock the Dark Forest Achievement

To get the Dark Forest achievement you must kill the Lost Forest Lord. Although it is stated otherwise you will find that headshots against this boss will do damage. Mixing a combo of the Light Sword (and blast) + Machine Gun headshots is also effective against this boss. If you use these attacks while continuously dodging around inbetween sword uses and reloading in a circlular motion around the arena you will eventually take him down. The Forest Lord does spawn in regular enemies but they should not pose too much of a problem and the fight in general is pretty easy on the first two playthroughs.

On the third playthrough the Forest Lord will deal a lot more damage and bullets will not be as effective. You should at this point have every skill unlocked. If you now continuously spam Release Limit (LS + RS) whenever it is available and then Throw Down Lightning (left on D-pad 3 times) and Light Forcefield (right on D-pad) you will eventually take down the boss. While you are waiting for Release Limit to cool down you will need to spam the Light Sword and Shotgun as you run around dodging and Throw Down Lightning.

How to get the Killer Combo Achievement

To get the Killer Combo achievement you need to float an enemy in the air for 15 seconds. The easiest way in which to do this is when you have unlocked Release Limit and Time Freeze and during your 2nd or 3rd playthrough when you fight against the lion enemies in one of the first outdoor fights.

Target the 2nd enemy and start your attack with a Slash Blast ability (RB then D-Pad down) to make the enemy airborn. Then use Release Limit (L stick + R stick clicks) as the enemy falls to put it into the sky. You will be able to keep it in the air by using your ammo and shooting a few bullets at it. Then as it begins to drop, use Time Freeze (left D-pad for EMP, left D-pad to select Time Freeze) to freeze the enemy in the air again. Once the enemy begins to fall use Slash Blast once it has recharged and let the enemy drop to gain the achievement. At no point kill the enemy, they must be kept alive. If your attempt fails you can simply restart the checkpoint and try again. The video below will show you how it is done at 30:01.

How to get the Killer Combo Achievement

How to get the Master of Operations Achievement

To get the Master of Operations achievement you must maintain SSS Rank for 30 seconds. In Bright Memory there is a rank system that is displayed in the top right corner of the screen. The ranks go from C (lowest) to SSS (highest). When you ascend ranks they will colour orange and will drain to white over time if you don't attack another enemy quick enough.

The easiest way to get this achievement is to first reach SSS by using your abilities and the SMG then during the first of the boss fights against the Lost Forest Lord put together a good combo of hits with weapons, the sword and other cast like attacks so the combo meter does not go down.

How to Unlock the Grave Robber Achievement

How to Unlock the Too Damn Busy Achievement

To get the secret Too Damn Busy achievement you need to snuff out six candles. The candles that need to be snuffed out are found towards the end of the game. In one of the last rooms you will need to turn a lever to create a bridge which you then cross. Sitting just to the left of the bridge is a group of red candles which you need to shoot at to extinguish the flame of six of them in order to gain the achievement.
