Vending Machines

The vending machines are one of the aspects of the game that constantly change the deeper into the story you get, and thus the farther into the chapters you are. What that means in essence is that early on the choices are limited, but as you progress more and different items are found in each machine. Rarely will they have the same exact item list from chapter to chapter, and even inside chapters when you encounter the same type of machine it will often have a different selection available.

To help you planning out how you will spend your silver you can refer to the following comprehensive vending contents lists - one for each of the three types of vending machines - so shop well!

Dollar Bill


This is your go-to source in the field for replacing basic inventory resources including health, vigor salts, and ammunition. While it is a very rare item to find stocked in Dollar Bill Vending Machines, you will encounter the odd machine that stocks Lockpicks, though rarely with the sort of frequency you will desire!

Veni Vidi Vigor


This is your go-to machine for Vigor Upgrades and, in some cases, the Vigor itself. There are eight Vigors in all, and each has two upgrades for it.

In some cases (such as Charge) the Vigor is purchased from a Triple-V Machine.

Charge: Charge Aid ($1614) Adds brief invulnerability on attack and recharges shield.
Devil's Kiss: Devil's Kiss Boost ($666) Increases damage.
Devil's Kiss: Devil's Kiss Aid ($1241) Adds mini clusters for greater AOE and damage.
Murder of Crows: Crow's Boost ($545) Increases stun duration.
Murder of Crows: Crow Trap Aid ($1485) Turns victims into MoC Traps.
Possession: Possession Aid ($50) Adds ability to possess humans who suicide when it expires.
Possession: Possession For Less ($1653) Decreases the Salts required to use Possession.
Return to Sender: Send for Less ($898) Increases shield duration and decreases Salts cost.
Return to Sender: Sender Aid ($1287) Adds ability to absorb and collect incoming ammo.
Shock Jockey: Shock Duration Aid ($575) Increases stun duration.
Shock Jockey: Shock Chain Aid ($1265) Adds ability to chain lightning strikes.
Undertow: Undertow Aid ($306) Increases number of enemies you can pull at one time.
