How to Get the Nyrunla Legendary Weapon in Baldur's Gate 3

The Nyrunla is the best legendary weapon in Baldur's Gate 3. The weapon itself is a trident and it can be obtained from Akabi the Djinni during Act 3 of the game. This How to Get Nyrunla guide will tell you in detail how to get this legendary weapon that is capable of dealing significant damage to enemies.

How to Get the Nyrunla

Nyrulna is a legendary trident that will offer whoever wields it a big boost in movement speed as well as immunity to fall damage. Nyrunla can also teleport back to the caster when thrown. In order to obtain this deadly weapon you need to win the jackpot from Akabi the Djinni in the Circus of the Last Days in Rivington (Act 3).

Go to the Circus of the Last Days in Rivington

You will know when you have reached Act 3 of Baldur's Gate 3 when you arrive at Rivington - the Southern District of Baldur's Gate. In Rivington you need to make your way to the Circus of the Last Days. It will be near where you first start Act 3.

At the entrance of the Circus of the Last Days you will encounter Klaus who will not let you enter until you pass one of two Skill Checks. You can opt to avoid these checks by either paying 200 Gold to enter or lockpick the gates behind the circus. These gates can be reached by going through the Temple of the Open Hand next door.

Akabi the Djinni

How to Get the Nyrunla Legendary Weapon

Inside the Circus of the Last Days you will meet Akabi the Destroyer of Planes. This Djinni has an act that is a rigged wheel of fortune. In order to stop Akabi from cheating you need to Pickpocket his Djinni Ring. To be able to pickpocket the ring from Akabi you will need to pass a DC 15 Sleight of Hand Check (DEX). This means you need to attempt to pickpocket Akabi with the character in your party with the highest Sleight of Hand and Dexterity scores.

If you pass a DC 20 Perception Check (WIS) you will know when you spin the wheel that Akabi is cheating. It is important that at no point do you accuse Akabi of cheating as this will only anger him and he will Polymorph your character into a cheese wheel for 20 turns. Once you pickpocket Akabi's Djinni Ring he will no longer be able to rig the game.

It is now important that you make sure before you spin the wheel to land the jackpot that you use the character in your party that has the highest Dexterity and Sleight of Hand bonuses as Nyrunla is stored inside a DC 20 locked chest which will need to be opened. When you land the jackpot Akabi will accuse you of cheating and teleport your character to a jungle infested with Raptors that you will need to escape from.

Open the Painted Chest

To get out of this jungle you will need to make your way to the Portal. You can avoid the Raptors that are roaming around entirely if you hug the northern edge of the map and do a series of jumps. Beside the Portal there will be a Painted Chest that will have a DC 20 Sleight of Hand Check (DEX).

It is recommended that before you attempt to open it you do a Quick Save. Inside the Painted Chest you will be able to claim Nyrulna, the legendary trident. Now that you have Nyrunla you just need to use the Portal to return to the Circus of the Last Days.
