What you will get with PlayStation VR

PlayStation VR is only a few months away and Sony is swamping us with news and trailers for the promised games and experiences that will be tempting us to part with the cash and buy into their bid to corner the console VR market. Games like Resident Evil 7 (Jan 24th) and a non playable Star Wars Battlefront experience should excite many gamers. But we are also now getting details about the exact specs and what you will and won't get with your purchase.

Whats in the Box and what isn't

The PS VR box will contain the Headset plus a processor unit, with a power cable and adapter. As well as HDMI, USB and connection cables to hook them up to each other and the PlayStation 4. There will also be some standard headphones and the usual paperwork.

A demo disk will also be included with some playable game demos and non playable 'experiences' to show case the headsets abilities.

You will also be able to download 'PlayRoom VR' which will have 6 free games to enjoy.

PS VR will require the use of the Playstation Camera and is not included as most PS4 owners will already have one. If you don't then you will need to pick this up separately.

All VR games will support the DualShock 4 controller which PS4 Owners should have. Some games will also be playable with and may benefit from the use of Move controllers. These are optional though and not included.

What Else

There are over 160 titles in development for PS VR with 50 of those planed to release by the end of 2016.

Some games will support screen mirroring to the TV to allow other to spectate the game play and some will allow other to play against you using the TV as their screen while you play in VR.

The head set can also be used to view other content, various cinematic modes can be useds to view 360 degree photos or videos.
