Dead Space One is considered as one of the best games of this genre. With a brilliant gameplay and a well written script, it will please all the fans of the horror genre. After an alien invasion, all the crew members of a ship are turned into zombie like creatures who will kill everything that comes in their way. Unlike most other horror games, you are allowed to run and shoot simultaneously. But that doesn't take away the fear quotient because you will be running in dark corridors with undead creatures chasing you.

The designers have used some brilliant shadow work and uses almost all the tricks in the horror book to always keep you engaged. Overall with brilliant gameplay, an interesting story line and some creepy moments, it is arguably one of the best games in this genre.
