Top 10 Ghosts in Video Games

09. Metal Gear Solid -- The Ghost Collection

As you will soon see some games have ghosts and some games have hidden ghosts - and some games, like Metal Gear Solid, have a boatload of hidden ghosts!

Normally a ghost is the spectral manifestation of some dead person. We've heard it said that what they really are is souls of those of have died but for whatever reason have refused to pass over to the other world.

We don't know about that, but what we DO know is that the ghosts that are found in Metal Gear Solid are actually spectral images of the dev team - you know, the wizards who created the game?

And they are not simply spotted mind you - but they are spotted and collected by using the camera in the game to snap their pictures after you have beaten the game. Of course it is not as simple as that since first you actually have to obtain the camera in order to use it...

To accomplish that, during your first play-through when you are headed back to the armory in order to obtain the sniper rifle, you need to go to the room in which you battled Ocelot and, in the hallway before that room you have to detonate a C4 charge in order to reveal the entrance to the hidden supply chamber.

Inside THAT hidden chamber that you can now access you will find the camera. Now all you need to do is beat the game, then replay it and snap the 42 pictures of the dev team ghosts - the prize for doing so being

Being as this is an Easter Egg there is no special reward exactly - other than the pure satisfaction of having done something you can be pretty sure most of your mates have not, which is capture all 42 ghosts on film...
