The Unofficial SuperCheats Top 10 Games So Bad they are actually Good...

08. Call Of Juarez: The Cartel

Even though our gut reaction to this one was that it was a pretty bad game -- its shooting mechanics were awful, the character development was very poor and don't even get us started on the plot or the story -- the thing about it is they somehow managed to turn out a shooter that bad that was still fully playable!

What is worse, once you actually get decent weapons unlocked and get used to the awkward controls and its very strange cover system, it actually begins to be fun (though it is still really bad in terms of well, everything else!).

Basically what it meant to be was a bang-bang-shoot-em-up cowboy take on the modern fed/police shooter. It failed.

The people that your characters encounter in the game are really not believable - but then neither are your characters. The plots and sub-plots? Well, put it this way, if any writer tried to use them in a movie, it would take a blind, deaf, and dumb agent to accept the script, and even then to actually get the movie made, they would have to have pretty convincing blackmail evidence to use against the studio.

Now having said that, we remind you that once you actually get a decent measure of the story told, it starts to be fun, but mostly due to its over-the-top take on the idea behind its contribution to the genre.

Still if you are bored and are looking for a game so bad that it is good to fill a Saturday afternoon with you could do worse!
