Christmas Event 2011

From December 21st, 2011 9PM GMT+1 until January 2nd, 2012 9PM GMT+1. 12 days.

The middle island in the center of the map (War Zone) will be accessible to all realms. This zone will have combat disabled and also a global chat for all realms will be available automatically.

Christmas trees will be spawned throughout the entire world. Players will have to explore and look for them since there are scarce. These trees give a present to anyone who interacts with them (once per tree).

Star Supremacy has reached over 50,000 players registered for the open beta, and to celebrate the dev's are now launching a special update: “Gemini,” that includes a Christmas event and new content.

New planets have been introduced, along with new equipment to find in this unexplored area of the galaxies. Other changes include increased energy regeneration for commanders under level 10; simpler ways to instantly complete construction; the ability to retreat when engaged in battle at a cost of energy, ships, and fighters; and a search function in the Trade Platform.

Players can also find Santa on the nine neutral planets between 13:00 and 19:00 server time daily. Finding Santa will let players accept a special mission to find his Sleigh, for an Xmas Stocking reward -- filled with presents and equipment!

Santa Wonder will be stationed in many major towns including Elgaill, Francis, and Hellen. Don't forget to visit him with decorative items to celebrate this wonderful Christmas!

How to participate:

1. Fight any monsters in the world of Esior until they drop the Red, Blue, and Green Santa Stockings!

2. Bring 10 units of each Red, Blue, and Green Santa Stockings to Santa Wonder at any major town (Elgaill, Francis, and Hellen) to exchange it for a special pair of Santa's Stockings!

3. Now bring 5 units of the special Santa's Stockings to NPC Moa at any major town (Elgaill, Francis, and Hellen) to exchange it for a Raffle Coin!

4. Finally, right click on the Raffle Coin and use the spinning machine for a chance of getting an awesome Christmas gift from Santa Wonder!

There are many exclusive Christmas event items and cash items that can be found through the spinning machine. So get your Raffle Coins and win them all!

The Feast of Winter Veil is a festive time of year during which players can sample delicious festive treats, playfully toss snowballs, and receive special holiday gifts! The Feast of Winter Veil is a reference to the end-of-year seasonal holiday of Christmas, featuring Greatfather Winter as an in-game version of Santa Claus.

During the Feast of Winter Veil players are sent on various quests, involving such adventures as rescuing a stolen reindeer and defeating The Abominable Greench in order to retrieve a lost shipment of goodies! There are a number of special festival-only foods which players can purchase or prepare, ranging from delicious Gingerbread Cookie to the maybe-not-quite-so-delicious Graccu's Mince Meat Fruitcake! As the festival nears its end, on the morning of December 25th (corresponding with Christmas Day) players can retrieve festive gifts from beneath tall, decorated trees found in Orgrimmar or Ironforge. These gifts contain seasonal, festival-only items and always includes a special item available only during that year's festival - never again!

January 2nd is the last day of the Feast of Winter Veil.
