Experiment with Edibles
When you begin playing Acestors: The Human Kind Odyssey you will not know what foods are good for your character and the only way in which you can determine if they are edible or not is through trial and error. This means, particularly during the early game it is important that you experiment consuming any possible edibles you find in order to determine their value as sustenance for your character.
Listen for Audio Clues
Audio clues play a huge part in Acestors: The Human Kind Odyssey and it is important that you always listen out for them as they are tied to nearly everything in the game, this includes dodges to grooming to crafting. Being able to identify these audio cues and timing the press and release of buttons when you hear them is crucial for progressing through the game.
Unlock Genetic Mutantations
Periodically as you progress through Acestors: The Human Kind Odyssey you will discover a mutation in your clan which has been created as the result of your breeding. When this happens it is important that you immediately advance to the next generation to prevent the clan member carrying the gene from getting killed and also to initiate your clans evolution to unlock the mutation.
Uncover New Areas
To migrate and uncover new areas in Acestors: The Human Kind Odyssey you need to 'Conquer your Fears'. This means to unlock a new area you need to investigate it by traversing to it's center which is indicated by the big white circle that is oppostite of the big blue circle. Elders can travel further without Conquering their Fears so it is recommended that you use them for exploring.
Always Eat and Drink Before Exploring
Get into the habit of eating something and drinking as soon as you wake up to ensure that you don't have to worry about replenishing those levels for a while when you go exploring. You will be able to gain food from various different sources that includes plants, insects, and by butchering animals. Fresh Water can be found at rivers and it is important that you keep your character well-hydrated at all times as lack of water may lead to their death.
