When you begin Aliens: Fireteam Elite, there are four different types of classes to choose from for the main campaign (a fifth one becomes unlocked after the main campaign has been completed), and you should look to choose the one that is right for you. The Gunner is a well-rounded attacker, the Demolisher clears out entire swarms of cannon fodder, the Technician provides support firepower, and the Medic helps keep the team in the fight against the Xenomorph hordes. Each class has it's advantages which it brings to encounters and in order to have the most success it is recommended that you have different classes in your team, so it is well-balanced and gives you options when dealing with situations.
