Fill Bonus Gauge
Defeat Klinsy the librarian and obtain the Dia Missile spell. Then use it in an area of any level that does not have any enemies in range. When the spell is used while the crosshairs are not visible your bonus gauge will replenish a small amount. If you keep repeating the process you will be able to fill the gauge completely allowing you to get any desired upgrade.
