Question for Super Mario 3D Land

Hi, how do I get past world 5-3??? Can't figure out how to open the door so I can continue through level...please help!!!

If you fail to many times you will get somthing that makes you go to the pole

If you see a shadow above you, go to the left and climb the pole.

If you see a shadow above you, go left and climb the pole and jump on the rainbow music box.
